What is a Maple Leaf Card?

The Maple Leaf Card in Canada is the same as the Green Card in the US.

A Maple Leaf Card allows you to work and live in Canada, and become a Canadian citizen after 3 years.

This small plastic card is a new document that was introduced because of the terrorist attacks of 11 September, 2001. It is an identity card of high security standards and replaces the old paper document that was called 'Record of Landing'.

After June 2002, each successful immigrant will be issued a Maple Leaf Card as proof of rightful residency in Canada. By 2004, all residents in Canada that are not Canadian citizens must be in possession of a Maple Leaf Card.

This website will help you to understand how to obtain a Maple Leaf Card, and we offer services to assist you in this process.
